“In every change, in every falling leaf there is some pain, some beauty. And that’s the way new leaves grow.”
– Amit Ray
This morning I was removing dead leaves from my garden to allow for new ones to grow. And it got me thinking that, truly this is how life is and should be about. To allow growth in our lives, we must remove dead leaves that could metaphorically be your past mistakes, your job that’s not making you happy, a relationship that’s toxic or no longer serving you, anything that doesn’t add value into our lives or past traumas, so that we allow new leaves to grow. That is, new beginnings. New blessings. To just appreciate the blessings we already have. To understand that all things happen for a reason and have a greater purpose. That purpose sometimes is not immediately seen, however it’s there. We are part of the ecosystem that is life.
Because, removing dead leaves brings us closer to harvesting, we must therefore harvest the fruits of our labour. That could mean celebrating the good we’ve done.
Being grateful for the good that we have and are, to give thanks. To always hope and believe that joy comes in the morning. To celebrate others and ourselves
